Ways to Improve Bailey

Improve? Bah!

Bailey has just about had it with her brother and his stupid list of ways she needs to improve, especially when that list is the reason she’s stuck going on a date with the weirdest guy at the Froyo shop: Tanner.

But the date-and the guy, for that matter-turn out to be very different than Bailey expected. As Bailey and Tanner get to know each other better, Bailey is forced to face all those imperfections she’s been ignoring for years.

There’s no doubt she has what it takes to get over herself.

The question is will she do it?

Ways to Improve Bailey by Cori Cooper is a heartwarming story about self-discovery and personal growth. Bailey’s life takes an unexpected turn when her brother creates a list of ways she needs to “improve,” which forces her into an awkward date with Tanner. Tanner was a regular at the local Froyo shop. What begins as a begrudging obligation soon blossoms into a transformative journey as Bailey learns more about Tanner—and herself. As their relationship deepens, Bailey confronts the flaws she has long ignored, challenging her to embrace vulnerability and growth. As Tanner unravels Bailey’s uncertainties, she is ready to give love a chance. But can she? Or will she be too scared to change?

What a fantastic, heart-warming romance. A perfect coming-of-age story, Ways to Improve Bailey by Cori Cooper was everything I hoped it would be. The relationship between Bailey and Tanner is sweet and genuine, and their interactions are filled with humor and warmth. The focus on self-acceptance and personal growth resonated with me, making Bailey’s journey both relatable and inspiring. I loved how Bailey started off being immature and stubborn but later turned into a responsible person who was finally ready to take chances. While the plot is relatively simple, the well-developed characters and the authentic portrayal of emotions elevated the story for me. The fast pace perfectly complemented the character development, allowing me to enjoy both aspects of the story. I enjoyed how their relationship developed, how Bailey opened up, and how Tanner helped her blossom into the person she was meant to be.
