Cat Tongue Cookies

With a name like that, how can you not want to try these out? They are so yummy dipped in hot cocoa!

Ingredients

½ C. Butter, softened

½ C. Sugar

1 TBSP Vanilla

3 large Egg Whites, room temperature

1 C. Flour

½ tsp Salt

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Prep your cookie sheet by greasing, parchmenting or silicone mating.

First thing first, you want to beat the butter and sugar until super fluffity. About 5 minutes. Then add the egg whites, gradually, and let it mix for another 5 minutes on medium.

Part of me wants to drag this process out with fancy French words that make us feel like legit French bakers, but I don’t know very many of those, so we’re just going to keep doing what we’re doing here.

Despite the name, these are super simple cookies.

Oh yeah, and super delicious.

Stir the flour and salt into the butter mixture.

Put the batter in a piping bag. When I’m feeling lazy, I just use a gallon ziploc and snip the tip. Pipe the batter into cat tongues about 3 inches long and ½ inch wide.

Bake until the edges are golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes.
