Laraba is a scientist by training, but a writer at heart. She has always loved reading with a passion, and turned her hand to fanfiction a few years ago. She writes stories similar to the ones she enjoys reading. They are interesting but light, romantic but not steamy. She is a super fan of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, and has a wonderful time writing P&P variations, exploring how new circumstances affect the beloved characters. So far she has self-published 6 novel-length Regency Romance P&P variations via Amazon. Her books include ‘The Banished Uncle’ and ‘Darcy Sails After Her’.
How you came up with the ideas for your books?
For my story ideas, I always try hard to make sure it’s a new and interesting twist. I come up with a change in circumstances to Pride and Prejudice, and then I write my story based on how I believe the well-known characters would respond.
What you love about being an author?
I love to write stories and share them with others. It’s been a fun, creative outlet for years now, only recently with published work, so I literally enjoy it so much that I would do it for free!
